Delena Fisher, AA, Certified Bookkeeper
Good morning! My name is Delena. As the old saying goes, the early bird catches the worm, I am up at 4AM almost daily. This is the time of my day to sip coffee and plan. My go to tool is an old fashioned list. Lists give me a sense of accomplishment when I get to check a task off! One of my goals today was creating this blog. Checked off! I have a lot to share about Bottom Line Bookkeeping and my collaboration with CPA’s and consultants to serve small business. Posts coming soon!
Let me introduce myself, My name is Delena Fisher. I have lived and worked in Knoxville, TN all my life . I worked 14 years in the medical field and managed a family practice. The past 15 years I worked for Profit Profile Corporation as office manager and administrative assistant. While employed with the company I did the bookkeeping, created financial analysis reports, assisted in practice valuations and managed the office. After the company closed, I opened Bottom Line Bookkeeping to continue assisting small business owners with their bookkeeping and financial consulting needs. I work from home with the assistance of my office dog, Banjo and my couch potato dog, Roxy.

A little about me…#4 of 5 children born into a family of hard-working parents from East Tennessee. In the late 50’s my parents moved our family to Chicago where some of our family had already moved due to job availability in Knoxville. My parents were employed in the food industry and during my childhood had their own snack bar restaurant in downtown Chicago. I can remember as a kid going there and watching my parents’ flip hamburgers, call out orders, and be exhausted at the end of the day…sounds familiar to any business owner! As an adult I can see the sacrifices they made to support their business but most of all our family. Fast forward to my teenage years, I worked at a second-generation family-owned drug store during high school and eventually married their son! In 1997, the decision was made to sell the business due to retirement age and health issues. It was an experience I won’t forget and one of freedom but also loss of an entity that was over 60 years in our community. As I reflect on my family and the drug store it served so many and helped those less fortunate in many ways, but not without sacrifice.
My experience with family business ownership, helping business owners in numerous industries, and helping owners create their financial picture will make me your perfect business broker! It will be an honor to serve you! For more information: https://easttn.fcbb.com/business-sales-services
I was licensed as an agent in 2000. While I enjoyed working with buyers and sellers to reach their home goals, the next step of being an actual Broker became a reality in 2004. That extra step was crucial for me. I wanted to know every aspect of the business and could only do that by stepping up.
The difference between an Agent and a Broker: One must be an Agent for three years before taking the necessary education to become a Broker. Part of that courseload is Broker and Office Management. We must also pass rigorous testing that has a much larger concentration on Surveys, Mortgages, Title Work and Appraisals. When you see the term “Affiliate Broker,” that is an Assistant to the Broker. A Broker can be hired as a Principal or Managing Broker.
The State of Tennessee requires a Principal or Managing Broker for each company. A Broker may also open their own Real Estate Agency if that is their goal. During my career, I have closed more than 100 homes for Buyers and Sellers. I am a Senior Real Estate Specialist trained to help Senior Citizens with their unique needs plus I truly love working with Buyers to find that perfect home. The word home has so many meanings. It is a noun, an adverb, an adjective, and a verb.
To me, home means my sanctuary. A place where I can let down all my shields and be just me. My nest is there. All my beloved possessions. I have a great passion for the old historical farm houses and the Victorian “Painted Ladies.” The craftsmanship of these homes are unmatched today. Those homes have beauty, charm and atmosphere. Should you be thinking of buying or selling a home. I have the Key. Let’s talk. Call me at 865-292-8030. My email is phoebewills@yahoo.com www.realestateofficetn.com/agents/phoebe-wills
